Patrick E. O'Keefe
Patrick E. O'Keefe's primary practice is in the area of Admiralty and Maritime Law. Mr. O'Keefe has served as counsel to several shipping companies, oil companies, oilfield service companies and shipyards. Additionally, he had tried numerous cases in the state and federal court and in the Office of Administrative Law Judges, U.S. Department of Labor.
A frequent speaker at maritime law seminars, Mr. O'Keefe is a member of many professional organizations including the Louisiana and American Bar Associations, the New Orleans Bar Association and the Southeast Admiralty Law Institute. He is a member of the Federal Bar Association and is a former President of the New Orleans Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. He has also served as a Circuit Vice-President for the Fifth Circuit and Chairman of the International Law Section. He is a lifetime honorary member of the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association of Dublin, Ireland.
Mr. O'Keefe received his J.D. degree in 1975 from Loyola University School of Law where he was Captain of the championship National Moot Court Team and was voted Best Oralist in the Nation in 1974.
