Jason A. Cavignac

Jason A. Cavignac graduated Cum Laude from the University of Southwestern Louisiana with a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications / Broadcasting. While in college, Mr. Cavignac was an intern in the newsroom at the ABC affiliate in Lafayette, Louisiana. Upon graduation, he was hired to produce the morning news show. While still a producer, Mr. Cavignac began writing and shooting feature news stories and subsequently became a full-time news reporter and fill-in anchor. He covered general news stories ranging from city council meetings and live breaking news events around Acadiana to traveling to Central America to report on the Louisiana military's role in rebuilding Honduras after Hurricane Mitch.
In 1999, Mr. Cavignac enrolled in the Tulane University School of Law, where he received his Juris Doctorate. During law school, Mr. Cavignac competed in the appellate moot court competition, worked with the Tulane Legal Assistance Program, and did community service work with the New Orleans Legal Assistance Corporation.
Since graduating from Tulane, Mr. Cavignac has primarily engaged in a litigation practice. His practice is focused on business representation, commercial litigation, and construction and surety law. He has also handled coverage opinions for insurance companies and has handled a number of appeals before Louisiana's appellate courts.

Mr. Cavignac is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the New Orleans Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association.
