Tate Martin joined Couhig Partners in 2018. He is primarily engaged in a litigation practice, with an emphasis on contract law, personal injury law, and business representation. Tate is also a NFLPA Certified Contract Advisor.
Tate received his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Louisiana College in 2014 and received his Juris Doctor with a Certification in Sports Law from Tulane Law School in 2017. While in law school at Tulane, Tate externed with the National Labor Relations Board; served as Co-Chair for the Tulane Pro Football Negotiation Competition; and served as Senior Articles Editor for The Sports Lawyers Journal. Tate’s comment, “Wake Up Call: How the Ray Rice Incident Opened the Public's Eyes to Domestic Violence in Professional Sports and the Need for Change”, was published in the Spring 2017 edition of The Sports Lawyers Journal. Tate was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 2018 and is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Louisiana. |
